I may make a living writing about all things home, but I'm embarrassingly slow when it comes to changing my bedding. So a few months ago, after years of sleeping on mediocre blankets, I decided to invest in a new duvet. And not just any duvet, but the wildly popular Bedsure duvet recommended by my sister. And because my sister is a real-life version of Beans and Princesses (the worst sleepers I've ever met), I ordered it. The low price didn't hurt, either, and it just so happened to be back in stock on Amazon. Scroll down to see my review.

This plush comforter also has eight loops on the sides so it can double as a duvet insert – two in one, great value!

Why is it a good deal? πŸ’°

According to our tracker, the Classic White queen size comforter is now at its lowest price ever, at nearly 50% off. Plus, the item has tens of thousands of five-star reviews (including mine), so now's a smart time to buy if you're considering it. Note: Prices vary by color and size (the Classic White queen size comforter is just $22).

Why do we need this?πŸ€”

Before we get into my personal thoughts on the Bedsure Comforter, let's start with the basics. Designed as an all-season blanket, it has a soft poly-microfiber shell with down alternative filling. Its clever box-stitch construction distributes the filling evenly. You want that cloud-like feeling all over your body.

This comforter has loops on the sides so you can use it as a duvet insert. It's machine washable and dryer safe, which is super convenient. I purchased the white queen size comforter, but it comes in many other colors and sizes from twin to California king.

When I took the Bedsure comforter out of the box, it was a little compressed, as expected. The instructions said to fluff it by hand and leave it for a day or two. By night, it was plump and fluffy and felt very soft to the touch. So far so good.

I recently bought a new duvet cover so I decided to try putting it in there first. It's always a pain to set up a duvet, but I'm happy with the results. The loops lined up with the snaps on the cover and it didn't feel twisted once it was all in.

Once that was done, it was time for the sleep test. I got into bed, pulled the covers over me, and immediately felt a level of comfort I'd never felt at home. It wasn't as heavy as a heavy blanket, but I felt a similar “cuddle” sensation, felt safe, and immediately wanted to doze off. And I did.

I tend to get hot while I sleep and it's not uncommon that I wake up in the middle of the night wanting to kick all the sheets and blankets off. Thankfully, the Bedsure Comforter keeps me just warm enough without getting too hot. I've been using it for over 6 months now and I can't believe how much of a difference it has made to my sleep. Every night I feel like I'm snuggled up in a hotel bed and so far the comforter has still felt marshmallow-like, even after washing it.

Now Really Since it's hot, I've taken it out of the duvet cover and am using it on its own. That said, it has a big blue label on one of the corners that I don't like aesthetically. (I imagine it would come off easily.) One other note: the cleaning instructions say you should use a front-loading washer and dryer. My washer is a top loader, so I took the plunge. Luckily, I haven't had any issues, but proceed at your own risk.

Reviewer comments πŸ’¬

I'm not the only one who's crazy about the Bedsure comforter: over 55,000 customers on Amazon have given the comforter a perfect five-star rating.

“The best sleep I've had in a long time,” wrote one excited buyer. “Not too thick, not too thin, and didn't wake me up feeling too hot. I slept so well I missed my alarm and was late to class…. Still as fluffy as a cloud after the first wash. 10 out of 10. I'm going to be late to class again.”

“I've been looking for a lightweight duvet that's warm, but not too warm,” said another satisfied sleeper. “My problem was how to prevent hot flashes and night sweats….I finally found the solution….I tried it without the duvet cover and it worked beautifully….Last night, [it] I figured that adding a half-degree warmer duvet cover would get my cycle back to normal, but to my surprise and delight, that didn't happen….Women going through menopause, look no further. This duvet is the answer.”

“This is a 10/10!” exclaimed a third. “Lightweight yet warm… but not too warm… perfect! Just the right amount of fluffiness so it looks luxurious but won't disappear until next Wednesday when you've worn it in.”

Cons πŸ‘Ž

“I wish it had side/top/bottom tags,” admitted one generally happy customer, “that would make making the bed so much easier!” However, she added, “I love the plush feel.”

“It matches my duvet perfectly!” exclaimed one last fan. “I was worried it wouldn't be thick enough or warm enough, but it definitely is fine….The only thing I could wish for on this one is that it had a few more ties. The duvet I bought had a ton of ties, which I understand helps stop it from slipping down, but I haven't had any issues with it at all.” (FYI, I've never experienced it either.)

Another cult-favorite Amazon bedding item that I love? The #1 bestselling Beckham Hotel Collection Bed Pillow.

I'd heard nothing but rave reviews about this pillow for years, and finally bought one to see what's so great about it. I'll be honest, it arrives vacuum packed, and when you first see it, you're probably thinking, “Wow! What a bag!” It's not going to be comfortableBut after a few hours, it becomes super fluffy. I was blown away by how soft and supportive it felt, and the breathable construction meant my hair didn't get all sweaty when I woke up in the morning. I'm now looking to replace every pillow in my house with these.
